Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection

Occupational health and safety includes all measures, means and methods that are used to protect employees from work-related safety and health hazards. The aim is to prevent accidents at work and to protect the health of employees.
Environmental protection includes all measures to protect the environment in order to maintain human health.
Environmental protection prevents and represses environmental damage and restores natural resources where possible (reparation).
Environmental protection also includes ethical and aesthetic requirements. The focus of environmental protection is on individual parts of the environment, such as soil, water, air, climate, and also considers the interactions between them.
In view of the constantly growing world population and the pursuit of the highest possible standard of living, increasing globalisation and technical and technological progress, global economic output is constantly rising. This has a major impact on the biosphere, which makes environmental protection increasingly important.
